Aloo Gobi

Aloo Gobi is a classic Indian dish made with potatoes and cauliflower, known for its fragrant spices and vibrant color.

  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add onions and green chilies, sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
  5. Stir in turmeric, coriander powder, and salt.
  6. Add potatoes and cauliflower, mix well, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  7. Finally, sprinkle garam masala and garnish with cilantro before serving.
