  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil, then sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. Return the turkey bacon to the skillet and add the shrimp. Cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
