  • 7 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 7 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add vegetable oil, egg yolks, vanilla, and water to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the cake batter until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Invert the pan and cool completely before removing the cake.
