Creamy Tuscan Mushroom Pasta Skillet

A delicious and creamy pasta dish featuring savory turkey bacon and fresh mushrooms, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet, then sauté mushrooms until browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Add cooked fettuccine and turkey bacon to the skillet, tossing to combine.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and stir in fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can easily be made vegetarian by omitting the turkey bacon.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
