French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

Deliciously creamy French onion chicken orzo casserole with a touch of turkey bacon for extra flavor.

  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onions until caramelized.
  4. Add the diced chicken, garlic powder, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is no longer pink.
  5. Stir in the orzo and chicken broth, bring to a simmer.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with cheese and turkey bacon.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
