Hot Chocolate Cake with Marshmallow Frosting

A rich and indulgent hot chocolate cake topped with fluffy marshmallow frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Stir in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add hot water, mixing until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool before frosting.
  7. Spread marshmallow frosting on top and sprinkle with mini marshmallows.

Notes

  • For an extra chocolate flavor, add chocolate chips to the batter.
