  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup green beans, trimmed and halved
  • 1 cup small pasta, such as ditalini

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  2. In the same pot, add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic; cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in diced tomatoes, broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
  5. Add green beans and pasta; reduce heat and simmer until pasta is tender.
  6. Stir in crumbled turkey bacon before serving.
