- 2 cups water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 2 cups mixed summer berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
- Add the lemon juice and thyme leaves to the sugar syrup. Allow to cool completely.
- Strain the mixture to remove the thyme leaves.
- Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Once churned, transfer to a container and freeze until firm.
- Serve the sorbet in bowls topped with fresh summer berries.
Notes
