Mac and Cheese Soup Recipe

A creamy and hearty Mac and Cheese Soup that incorporates the deliciousness of turkey bacon for added flavor.

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add butter and sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add macaroni and cook until al dente.
  4. Lower the heat and stir in milk, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika until the cheese melts.
  5. Crumble the cooked bacon and stir back into the soup. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • This soup can be topped with extra cheese or crispy bacon bits.
