- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup brewed espresso
- 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
- 24 ladyfingers
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale.
- Heat the milk and pour it into the egg mixture, whisking until combined.
- In another bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the mascarpone into the cream gently.
- Combine espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
- Dip ladyfingers in the coffee mixture quickly and layer them in a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a darker coffee.
- Let the tiramisu sit overnight for the best results.
