  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugars, pumpkin, oil, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the walnuts if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for about 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, cinnamon, and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
