Slow Cooker Indian Butter Chicken

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. Add ginger, garlic, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, and diced tomatoes.
  3. Stir to combine and cover the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken and stir in heavy cream and butter.
  6. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with cilantro before serving.
