- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed rice to the pot, stirring well.
- Sprinkle in turmeric and salt, mixing until the rice is evenly coated.
- Add water and bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
